A first online business, built around membership.
YouthLab Direct had never operated online before. I designed the experience, created the architecture for its complex business model and developed the website and membership system. My responsibilities also include implementing POS systems and connecting them with the website, with the relationship continuing on an ongoing retainer.

01 / THE BRIEF
From no online store to an online business.
YouthLab Direct was starting its online business for the first time. Its membership model made the project more involved than a conventional product catalogue: the business needed an architecture that could support how members and customers would use it.
I designed the experience and created the architecture for that complex online business, then developed the website to bring it to life.
02 / THE MEMBERSHIP
Membership at the heart of the platform.
I built the entire membership system as part of the platform. Membership was a core business requirement, so it shaped the architecture and the website development from the outset.
My role connected the design of the experience with the technical work needed to support the membership model.
03 / CONNECTED RETAIL
The website, the POS and what comes next.
My responsibilities also include implementing the POS systems and making them work with the website. The online platform and the retail setup are part of the same business, and the integration work connects those two sides.
YouthLab Direct remains an ongoing retainer client. I continue to work with the business beyond the initial website build as its online and retail requirements develop.
